  • The South African Airways bounces back!

    The South African Airways bounces back and confirms that it will retain it's original routes and introduce four new routes. After a long season of several business rescue plans, the airline is now ready to not only reclaim it's crown but it will now be expanding it's territory. Meanwhile, aviation specialist Joachim Vermooten has explained that new routes would need startup funding to ensure profitability.* The airline has received approval from the International Air Services Council (IASC) to resume it's original routes and to expand. The South African Airways new routes are flights to Blantyre and Lilongwe in Malawi, Windhoek in Namibia, and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. These routes will begin at the start of the festive season.

  • Kenyans will now be able to enter South Africa visa free for 90 days

    Kenyans will now be able to enter South Africa visa free for 90 days. South Africa's president, Cyril Ramaphosa official state visit to Kenya during the week November, resulted in an memorandum of understanding between the two countries that will allow Kenyans to enter S.A visa free for 90 days. This dispensation is expected to commence on the 1st of January, 2023. The president said that the agreement would not only strengthen travel and tourism between the two countries, but more importantly; people- to- people contact. As more countries relax their borders and the world adjusts to living with covd19, more and more people are looking forward to travel.


  • China remains steadfast on it's covid19 zero tolerance policy

    While several countries have reopened their borders, China has only resorted to a new health declaration policy. Efforts have been made to allow students and others to return to China, but the covid-zero policy remains in place. China's customs administration said that the new rules were designed to make processes more efficient, but the country would still remain committed to the strict border controls. Incoming and outgoing travellers will now need to fill in a health declaration form.


  • The MSC now welcomes unvaccinated travellers

    The MSC now welcomes unvaccinated travellers. The Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and Oceania Cruises now require unvaccinated travellers to show proof of a 48hr antigent test or a negative result PCR test taken within 72 hours before sailing. As of March 2023, the Avalon Waterways will no longer require guests to be vaccinated. Carnival Cruises guests still need to provide proof of negative PCR tests taken within 72hours or a 48hour antige test before sailing. This includes vaccinated travellers without their certificate. Seaborn which travels from Alaska to the Carrribean welcomes unvaccinated travellers who must present a negative test result taken 72 hours before sailing. Guests are encouraged to wear masks. The Virgin Voyages welcomes all. Unvaccinated travellers need to produce a negative result rest taken 72 hours before sailing.
